Okay, the kanji and dialogue in this chapter is REEEALLY difficult so I'm gonna try my best. Please remember that this may not be 100% accurate:
-The ancestor to the Wu clan is a man named "Wu Hei," born 5000 years ago (the shadowy figure shown in the first two pages.) He's the "original" Wu, and the person that all Wu and Kure members are descended from.
-Alan Wu says to Raian (on page 4):
"It's been 1300 years since you left the nest. Seems like you don't even recognize your father's face."
This obviously confuses Raian, since Alan is not his dad, nor is he 1300 years old.
-Wu Xing and Nikaido explain that 1300 years ago, the Wu clan split into three different branches: the Kure clan in Japan, the Wu clan in China, and a separate "Far West" branch. Edward and Alan are a part of the "Far West" branch.
-In addition to Removal, there's an ULTRA secret technique that only the Far West branch can use, called Fui Shun ("Resurrection.") It's a practice where a person gets brainwashed into thinking that they're Wu Hei himself, and this gets passed on from generation to generation to generation to generation. All of Wu Hei's memories, personality and knowledge gets passed from one person to another.
-This is why Alan talks to Raian the way he does, because Alan thinks that he himself is Wu Hei. And because Wu Hei is the ancestor to the Wu Clan, he can obviously use 100% perfect Gui Hun.
