In this manga, Amami Yoshikazu, Oda's previous assistant, aims to learn how to make a good manga from various popular mangakas.
Amami was a street bum in December 2016 due to his unpopular manga being shut down. His age was in 30s with no income.
He recalls his predicament was like a Royal Straight Flush. Editor tries to help him to draw a new manga. When Amami reveals that Oda gave him advice about manga,
editor is surprised and suggests him to draw a manga about Oda's advice itself. When asked, Oda gladly accepts it.
Amami has been a big OP fan. His favorite characters are Crocodile and Fossa. He worked under Oda for 3 years.
Amami says he was not an excellent assistant. He was eager to ask Oda about many things, but gave it up since he didn't want Oda to waste time for him.
Instead, Amami decided to secretly listen to Oda talking with others.
In 2016, Oda kindly invited Aammi to his Christmas party despite him being a street bum at that time. Amami recalls Christmas party in Oda's house was awesome.
He felt as if it was exactly like a party in ONE PIECE world. Of course all food was delicious, but he considers the most precious moment for him in the party was that the assistants felt free to ask Oda about manga to their heart's content.
When Amami asked Oda about how to make a good manga, Oda advised him to draw an "insane" manga which editor is about to get angry at.
There are thousands of serialized mangas in Japan, only 30% of which are said to be in the black, so it's important to stand out. Oda told him not to hesitate to reveal his true disposition.
According to Oda, it is so-called "Take off underpants" technique (!!). He said that it is also important to convince audience of the mangaka's "insane" disposition.
Editor is impressed that this episode about Oda is more interesting than Amami's manga. Editor tells Amami that it would be a good idea if he holds some interviews with various mangakas about manga techniques.
Amami is glad that he is not a street bum anymore now.

*Oda saved another previous assistant who was about to die due to no money. When he made a phone call to Oda that he was in desperate situation, Oda told him to come to his studio right away.
