Ryuma'nin yaşamı boyunca yenilmez olduğu söylenir.

O,ardı ardına, Wano'nun hazinelerini almaya çalışan korsanları biçti ve ülkeyi fethetmek isteyen istilacıları da yendi. Bu yüzden kılıç ustası Ryuma'yı bilmeyen bir kişi yoktu. Wano ülkesinin Samurayı ismi dünyanın her yerinde yankılandı.

Belli bir korsanın Wano'da hengameye sebep olduğu 23 yıl oncesinde, Ryuma'nın mezarı açıldı ve kılıç ile beden ortadan kayboldu. Kimse kılıcın ve bedenin nerede olduğunu bilmiyor ve Ryuma'ya saygın duyan Samuray'lar çılgınca bunu yapan suçluyu arıyor.
